Organ donation provides comfort for grieving parents

Paudraig turned 21 just a week before he had his accident. He was driving alone to work on 21st February when his car left the road – to this day we don’t know what caused the accident. He was rushed to hospital and spent two days on a life support machine before it was switched off. I was 15 years old and my brother, Breandan was 18. My parents made the decision to donate Paudraig’s organs, only to later find an organ donor card inside his wallet. My parents took great comfort from this, knowing it was what he would have wanted.

Paudraig saved six people’s lives by donating his organs, one of whom was a six-month-old baby. This makes us very proud.
