Kim Hodge

My name is Kim.  I'm 48 and awaiting a double lung transplant.  I have Cystic Fibrosis, but it has never held me back in life until the past 12 months, albeit that there were some low times.  Nobody knew I had CF until a few months ago.

In 2007 I was sent for my first lung transplant assessment.  It was a frightening time for me; I remember that all the hospital signs had the word 'transplant' on them, and that's a shock initially.

In 2014 my health started to take a further decline with more antibiotics and more hospital stays.  This was the point of no return - CF was stopping me in my tracks!

I have raised £10,600 for my CF centre and I hope to continue raising money and awareness of CF and organ donation.

Now it's time for new lungs, new life and getting my energy levels back up.  Organ donation is my only hope ...
