My cousin, Geraldine, died in 2012, having been diagnosed with pulmonary hypertension at the age of 19.  She survived on medication for nine years, waiting in vain for the life-saving gift of a new heart and set of lungs. During that time she lived life to the full and was the life and soul of every party.

She was an inspiration to me: she achieved a 2:1 in her
university degree, she was an avid reader, she helped out in a soup kitchen and worked to raise awareness of PHA disease; she also had a fantastic sense of humour.
More than all of those things, Geri was my friend; she was always there for me.

That is why I became involved with Live Life Give Life.  They have helped
me to deal with my loss and I am honoured to be a part of their team.  I know that Geri would be happy to see the work they are doing to move things forward and create a better future for all people waiting on the list today.
